Happy New Year! On January 1st you could almost hear an audible sigh of relief as the country realized that 2020 had finally ended and we can now embrace 2021 with renewed hope. But what does that mean to you?

Are you truly ready to accept that 2020 will always be a part of our history, but it does not, in any way need to be looked at as a roadblock to your moving forward? Yes, it was horrific for many families all over the world with the loss of loved ones, jobs, steady income and in some cases homes.

We have seen great unrest across America leading some toward committing horrific acts of violence. Acts that completely go against the values upon which this great country was founded. Democracy is precious and should be preserved at all cost. Violence serves no purpose and, in most cases, takes down the innocent. It is unconscionable.

We are in a place where solutions are right around the corner. Scientists are working to create and distribute a vaccine that, if everyone agrees to take, can potentially protect us from the vile effects of Covid-19. Where do you stand on the issue of being vaccinated? Are you, as I am, anxious to be protected and more importantly, anxious to stop the spread of this deadly virus? Are you of the mindset that the vaccine is another “big ‘brother” tactic against your freedom?

Can I convince you to get the vaccine, not only to protect yourself because you mean so much to me, but to get it so that those you love will be protected, as well?

I personally have been walking this planet for decades. I am in a protected age group and I am totally willing to get vaccinated as soon as possible. I am tired of quarantine. I am tired of missing my family and friends. I am tired of talking on the phone and attending zoom meetings to do my work. And, yes, I am grateful that I have been able to use all the technology, but there is nothing like being face-to-face. There is nothing better than human contact. Technology has its place but having to rely on it to live life and to continue to work has worn thin for me.

I am ready for spring and the beauty of new growth. I am ready for the job market to pick up again. I am ready for all my clients to land jobs in record time again. I am ready to travel and explore the world again.

I have spent many years being taught by amazing teachers, and I have learned that what you concentrate on is what you magnify in your life. As humans, we always have a choice. We can concentrate on lack: lack of money, lack of health, lack of opportunities, and what we get is less money, less good health and less opportunities because when we spend so much time concentrating on what we don’t have, we stop doing things to make our lives better.

It is clearly your choice as to how you will conduct your life in 2021, but for me, I plan to concentrate on all the amazing things that were right outside my reach during the pandemic.

I plan to truly put 2020 to bed and move forward in life. I plan to concentrate on all that is good in my life already so that I have a greater vision of all the possibilities ahead. I plan to make 2021 a great year, a year of positive thinking, a year of business growth, a year of social connections and a year of choosing love over hate, happiness over despair, peace over unrest. Won’t you join me?

As always, I’m rooting for you!
